News from Naval Technology and Life on board

Post by John Seal »

Hello,

Since my last post here, the website www.navtechlife.com has moved on, with new topics uploaded and additional photographs included in existing topics.
For the 100th anniversary of the armistice, there is a topic on the surrender of the German submarine fleet at Harwich and I have recently uploaded a topic entitled "Bridge Technology" with photographs of the bridge on warships from 1906 to the 1970's. There is a series of photographs of the bridge of the French destroyer Le Malin taken in 1949 showing the state of the art at the end of the war, from the days when switches went "click" and dial handles were made of brass!

Have a look!

Do feel free to replicate files from Hyperwar. We want that information to get out and about.

And you might find some new things here: http://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/NHC/NewPDFs/
