I want to know how to compatibilize weight from different sources.
For example:
German Type 34 destroyers (from Whitley´s):
Hull.......…………….........869.1
Main machinery............790
Aux. machinery............169.3
Gun armament..............88.3
Torpedo...……….............34.7
Mine equipment..............7.9
EMPTY SHIP I..............1959.3
General equipment.........49.9
Nautical equipment..........5.4
Radio equipment............13.4
Machinery equipment.....111.9
Gunnery equipment.........12.8
Torpedo equipment...........4.1
Mining equipment............11.1
Water in pipes.................3.5
EMPTY SHIP II..............2171.4
Acording to Herr Nilsson:
"M I is machinery in regard of propulsion (boilers, turbines etc. but also smoke stacks and piping). M II is auxiliary machinery (for capstans, rudders etc., but also the heating installation)."
I presume that Empty Ship I is M I and Empty Ship II is M II.
Then from Friedman, Tribal class:
Hull.......…………….........910
Machinery...................596
Armament...................254
Equipment....................94
Std..........................1854
So:
-what are exactly the three items machinery related in Whitley´s?
-what of the three is included in the unique machinery item in Friedman´s?

Re: Weight statements of warships
M I =Main machinery
M II =Aux. machinery
A =Gun armament
T =Torpedo
F =Airplane facilities
Spr =Mine equipment
Leeres Schiff =Empty ship (I?)
J =General equipment
N =Nautical equipment
Ta =Radio equipment (actually rigging)
M I =Machinery equipment M I
M II =Machinery equipment M II
A =Gunnery equipment
T =Torpedo equipment
Spr =Mining equipment, anti-mining equipment, anti-submarine equipment, paravanes
M I =Water and oil in pipes M I
M II =Water and oil in pipes M II
Leeres Schiff mit Geräten mit Öl u. Wasser in M I and M II =Empty ship (II?) including equipment , water and oil in M I and M II
That means: M I = main machinery + machinery equipment M I + water and oil in pipes M I
... the same for M II
