Bismarck. 1815-1898

Post by culverin »

We tend to forget the man himself and in whose honour this ship was named.

But not only this ship, but others, towns, places and the like.
There appear to be hundreds of Bismarcks, past and current, Worldwide.
Maybe our members could contribute some, family connections, a street, bridge or a hotel maybe.
Do you know something the wider audience may not.
Over to you.
A full broadside. The traditional English salute.
Thanks. Sean.

With this there is also the irony that Otto von Bismarck was entirely opposed to Germany developing a large navy and the very concept on which the battleship named after him was built.....
