seaplane ops and sea state

Post by Frej » Sat Oct 31, 2015 1:03 pm

Hello, I'm working on a naval combat game and will have some questions related to that, at least most of them here in the Naval Technology forum. I'll start with one that I hope is reasonably simple: In how heavy seas was it feasible to launch and retrieve seaplanes in the WWII era?

I'd like to get answers in terms of the WMO sea state code [/] or wave height.

In respect of Kriegsmarine seaplanes the answer is with great difficulty, as evidenced by the seaplane operations of the hilfskruezer.
