So are Tiger Woods & Wayne good buddies or are they going to have the same shrink for sex addiction?

It probably is, but from an Englishman to a Scotsman perhaps I should say ''who gives a tinkers cuss?''

Wayne Rooney is a professional footballer who is regarded as being an ''important'' member of the England national football team. That is why in England (and not so much in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) he is a news media plaything, or rather what the Americans used to call ''a jerk.''

Hope that helps.

Oh he's another sports figure. That explains it. I pretty much ignore professional sports. Especially the boring ones like golf, baseball, and soccer. :)

For some reason I thought he was some sort of political commentator. Guess he's slightly above that though. :)

I've never played it and haven't watched if much. Does look to be more interesting both to play and to watch than those I just mentioned though.
Given some of the recent events though I wonder if they "make book" on who'se "making book".

Did you know that cricket was widely played in the newly independent United States, until baseball gradually supplanted it?

I think it's still played here a little. Not sure why baseball surplanted it either.

Basically baseball was a faster paced game, with simpler rules, and thus easier for spectators to follow. Also once baseball began to take off it was also easier for many of the non-English immigrant/settlor communities to follow, who had no knowledge of cricket.

This of course was eons before the concept of limited overs cricket was invented, which is so important to the sport commercially today.
