Why both S class and U class built
Hi all, during WW2 the British built both S class and U class submarines, which appear to me, to have similar characteristics and performances. Why did they build both, was this about having to build the smaller boat as well as the slightly larger boat, as some boat building yards couldn't build anything bigger, or was there some nuances in capabilities that escape my eye.

Hi. I would say that T class were far larger, almost twice, look that they were intended for farther away operations, closer to German Type IX.
