The thing about poitical and war documentaries/films are that wars are interpreted by the winners, in war the first victim is truth, and history is always written by the winner.
Thats why the Kriegsmarine is portrayed as a lousy navy and routinely commits war crimes. You can always tell a lousy film, they can't get the German uniforms right and they don't speak the right language.
