I am here for a friend of mine who is trying to track down a rare copy of the original sink the bismarck film not the 60s film.

This particular one is the black and white one which has been coloured.
We have several confirmed sitings of this film a few years back in USA.

There is a coloured version and a rose tinted version of the original as well as the black and white.
My friend wants the coloured version.

Does anyone in here know anything about the where abouts of the coloured film?

I have not had much luck and have been chasing what seems like my own tail to find this for my friend.

I hope someone here can shed some light on this subject.

many thanks

Try Ted Turner's Classics or something like that. He was colorizing films and all the artsy types had their panties in a knot. Hope that helps!

Does anyone work at ted turners classics?

I have sent several email but not one reply :(

Are they still trading?

My friend keeps bugging me about it :(

But as I say to him, no reply yet.

Go to Belle & Blade here - http://www.warshows.com/StoreFront.bok

They list three films on the sinking of Bismarck - 1943, 1960, 1996. No mention as to whether the 1943 film is colorized or not, so you may want to email them.
