Hi Ulrich.

W and N comes up as "No results found"

N and W ends up in the middle of the Pacific

Brown has the right coordinates as given by Frank Allen. http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b138/ ... h=imgAnch1

I think that if you are searching by coordinates, you generally need to add zero to the single digit degrees, minutes etc. in most programs, e,g, 04 24 00.00.

Sorry but I was out for the weekend.

I just used the coordinates and they take me to the place I´m searching. In some cases the coordinates need the N, W, E, S prefix and in some other cases, like GPS coordinates, they don´t need the prefix, and if you put them in the program just show the box that say that it can´t find the point.

In the case of the Hood shipyards if you used the coordinates as follows there is no problem at all:

55 53 45.44 -4 24 18.43

Use the "bar" between the latitude and the longitude because maybe it is the problem.

Best regards!

Hi Karl:

The minus sign is part of the coordinate? Sometimes to make navigation calculations South latitude is entered as a negative number. May be here West longitude is entered as negative.

It might be, because if we study the coordinates for the PE @ Kwajelein Atoll you doesn´t need the "bar", just to type them and you find the cruiser. And the longitude is East. And the Shipyard is West and, yes, we have the "bar". It´s worth to do some testing.

Best regards.

Hey Ostriker,

Do you have the coordinates for Mers El Kebir? Some days ago I was looking for the place and didn´t find it. It stands for another name now?

Best regards.
