Hi all:
Wondering what your thoughts are on the best pre-dread (which includes the somewhat paradoxically named "semi-dreadnoughts"). Personally I'm having a difficult time deciding between the Brit Nelsons and the French Dantons. Who do you think would win a one on one (or a two on two if you're not into one on ones lol) between these two? What other considerations do you think come into play in picking a "best" (which I suppose we could define as which one would you chose for your fleet). Is it a different class altogether?
Thanks in advance,
BB

Hi. I would go for the British ships. The RN got much experience in shipbuilding in that era, the French were behind them. In Tsushima the Russians French designed ships suffered a lot. There were some French designs of the era that were really ugly, Charlemagne class, Massena class.
