SMS Baden

Hi All. I am new here. I bought an old house in eastern Canada and found this plaque from the SMS BADEN.
Can anyone provide information on the lettering below the name of the ship? I do know that one of the sons of the household that resided in the place I bought from 1910-1938 joined the Royal Navy in 1919. Perhaps he was at the sinking of the SMS Baden and was able to take a plaque from it? The plaque is attached to an old wooden bookshelf, I doubt it was from the ship.
