Adm. Jackie Fisher Invented What Land Based Weapon?

Admiral Jackie Fisher famous for his efforts in the creation of the HMS Dreadnought, destroyers, torpedoes, and many other inventions and advancements in the Royal Navy.
He is also accredited in some sources for the creation of what land based mobile weapon? Please don't use Wikipedia to find the answer.

I'll give a hint. This invention was created while he served in Egypt.

Inflexible took part in the 1882 Anglo-Egyptian War, bombarding the port of Alexandria as part of Admiral Seymour's fleet. Fisher was placed in charge of a landing party which was quartered in the Khedive's palace. Lacking means of reconnaissance he devised a plan to armour a train with iron plates, machine gun and cannon. This became celebrated and widely reported by correspondents, so that its inventor, Fisher, came to the attention of the public for the first time as a hero. Shore duty had the unfortunate effect that Fisher became seriously ill with dysentery and malaria. He refused to take sick leave, but eventually was ordered home by Lord Northbrook who commented, 'the Admiralty could build another Inflexible, but not another Fisher'.
Sorry to spoil the puzzle but that being said I did honestly suspect the railroad gun before I decided to check Wiki...

Terje is correct, you win imaginary trophy.
Fisher while in command of the HMS Inflexible, in Egypt is accredited in the invention of the armored train. He had a train used for recon, with armor plates, 3 Gatling Guns, and a breech loading naval gun.

Weren't armoured trains to some extent used in the American Civil War?

Yes, but they were not intended on being used as an offensive weapons, nor were they as far as I know us armed with weapons that could be used by a moving train.

I believe that some trains were armed with cannon, and also equipment for ripping up the tracks behind them on raids into enemy territory......in other words used as a form of what we now call guerilla warfare.
