Maybe. But Tokyo had already been ''experimented'' on.

Again NO. Under the agreements covering warfare at the time it was perfectlly legal.
...By February 1945 Germany was technically defeated,
They were still fighting so no they weren't defeated. It may/should have been obvious to all bu tthe Germans chose to keep going.
... In this particular case no warmaking capability of the Germans was attacked.
Can you support this?
To many it was just an experiment for further use in the Pacific.
If you choose a small enough defintion of many perhaps. Irrelevant in any case.

22/23 January 1879 Rorke's Drift Natal South Africa. 130 British soldiers -a number of them sick- beat off 4,500 Zulu Warriors, winning 11 VC's the most ever awarded for a single action.

IronDuke:

Interesting note that of yours. About the Zulus the only thing we usually hear is the other way around.

I lived in South Africa for eleven years. The Zulu were certainly very fine Warriors.
During the 1879 Anglo-Zulu War the Zulu won at Isandlwana, Intombi Drift and Hlobane. They lost at Inyezane, Rorke's Drift, Kambula, Gingindlouvo and Ulundi.

The key point is that the Zulus lost the five month war. Isandlwana gets the attention - but what happened after gets ignored.

Britain has only really lost one war between the End of the American War of Independence in 1782 and the present day, the First Anglo-Boer War of 1880-81, since Gladstone would not send reinforcements after Majuba.

And the First Anglo-Boer War was overturned by the main Boer War of 1899- 1902, which was started by the Boers.

There was also the failure to complete the occupation of Afghanistan and make it part of British India. Something particulary relevant to today and airbrushed out of the history books here.

It may also depend on what you want to call a "war". If the epesodes in Afghanistan count didn't Britian also send some units to Russia post WWI? I don't think any of the western troops invovled in those counted there actions as a "win" overall.

Yes, including proxy wars. With Afghanistan in the nineteenth century there was also the issue of using it as a buffer state to keep Russia from encroaching on India.

The troops sent to Russia during the Civil War were there to support the anti-Bolshevik forces but without getting involved in the fighting.......

I'm pretty sure the US forces weren't able to avoid "getting involved in the fighting" not sure about the others.

The US forces were and are in Afghanistan in response to an attack on the USA itself. The issue now is whether the guilty parties can be taken out and dealt without the rest of Afghanistan getting involved as allies of the Taliban and Al Qaeda. And that is the problem.
