No USS Enterprise

Post by Karl Heidenreich » Sun Aug 21, 2011 5:02 pm

In one of the US Navy worst mistakes, ever, the CVN 79 that was supposed to be called Enterprise to replace the existing one will be called.... John F. Kennedy. What a disgrace! The tradition of a US Enterprise is something that cannot be overlook in such a way. If they wanted a ship called Kennedy then there are a lot of trawlers or Coast Guard ships to be baptized as such.

Let's hope that CVN-80 could have a decent name!

Quite right Karl.
No doubt Captains Kirk and Picard will share our views in the 24th Century!

It could have been worse Karl.

They could have named it the USS George McGovern......
