I am modelling a 1/350 scale wreck of Bismarck, I am hoping that someone could respond to this question that I am going to ask. Despite that the model is near close to being authentic, I have one slight problem. The amount pictures I have on the wreck, I haven't yet seen any photos of Bismarck's main Aft Hangar. I would like to know how much damage did the aft hangar sustained? Were the doors still attached to the main hangar? Were both doors open on the main hangar?

I believe the doors were open, as an attempt apparently had been made to have the doors cut-off so they could be used as a makeshift ''rudder'' to correct the 40 degree angle on the jammed rudder - they couldn't however be used for this purpose due to the rough seas.
