Polish National Digital Archive has millions of photos and sound recordings; more than 100 000 are online.
I can't read Polish, but it looks like there are more thatn 8000 WW2 photos on line

The picture shown is of Schleswig-Holstein shelling the Polish forts outside Gdyina.
