Hi Marcelo,
yes, however the forth French "Richelieu" (Gascogne) would have had the 2 quadruple turrets one fore and one aft.

Also the following French Type 1, 2 and 3 proposed super-dreadnought of the French Navy would have been built with 2 triple (or quadruple, Type 3) fore and 1 triple (or quadruple) aft.

Bye, Alberto

Hi Alberto,
What calibre would they have been?

Hi Paul,

Gascogne would have mounted 2 quadruple turrets of 380mm (as Richelieu) but one fore and one aft

The "Alsace" Type 1 would have been a 9 x 380mm (3 x triple turrets) ship
Type 2 a 9 x 406mm (3 x triple turrets)
Type 3 a 12 x 406mm (3 x quadruple turrets)

All of them would have had 2 turrets fore and 1 turret aft.

Bye, Alberto

Hello everybody,
sorry for my mistake above:

Type 3 would have been a 12 x 380mm (3 x quadruple turrets) ship.

Bye, Alberto

One member of the quadruple turret battleship fraternity has escaped mention - The Battleship 1915 project of the Russian Imperial Navy (a four ship class intended for the Baltic Fleet) -

35,600t normal displacement
12 x 16in in three quadruple turrets (one forward, one amidships, one aft).
