Well, that is why I scheduled a cruise with my family at the Caribbean in February... no heavy seas at all but a lot of sun.

Heavy seas & rouge waves are things any ship has to worry about, even the big cruise ships.
Two passengers died when large rouge waves struck this cruise ship.

Given the proximity to land I would have thought that faced with hurricane conditions the ship should have put into harbour.
