There is a game out there called "World of Warships" which includes the 15" version of Gneisenau. While the game isn't terribly realistic, their ship models are generally excellent.
In the game, in addition to the alternate 15" armament, the ship has a uniform secondary battery of 12.8 cm guns. Is this what was actually intended?

Re: Gneisenau Reconstruction Specifics
Hello everybody,
@ Steve Crandell,
YES, all the 150 mm were going to be substitued with the 12.8 mm guns later used on the destroyers too.
A/A was going to be done with 40mm bofors and 20 mm vierlings, like for Prinz Eugen end of war status.
Bye Antonio

In order to honor a soldier, we have to tell the truth about what happened over there. The whole, hard, cold truth. And until we do that, we dishonor her and every soldier who died, who gave their life for their country. ( Courage Under Fire )
