I commend you on your dedication to accuracy in this venture.

Do you have a cover illustration yet? I have done some illustration for wargames in the past & would be very interested in working with you.

Hi Djoser,

Thank for the kind words and yes indeed it demand a lot of work and research to bring back this steel giant to life in simulation game.

I had this project in mind 10 years ago but the technology was not there at the time but this has now change in a very positive way.

I was planning on using 3d rendering of the Bismarck on our front web page portal but maybe an illustration could be interesting.

When the website and forum will be online you can join in and we can discuss your proposition.

Regards Hans

Hans,

Do you know/have the film "Klar Schiff zum Gefecht (Topis-Melofilm/OKW, 1937)? I received the book "Jutland World War I's Greatest Naval Battle by Epkenhans, Hillmann & Nagler for my birthday and they mention that film.

It was a propaganda film and they used German ships for some of the scenes. There is a picture on page 358 showing a FC talker with some of the Anzieger type equipment in the background. I tried to see if the film was available on Amazon but no luck. Maybe its available in Germany? Might even have some of the 38 & 15cm guns firing?

Hope this helps. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on your progress!

Hi Frontkampfer,

Yes i heard about this movie but was never able to find a copy for sale.

We will surely keep everyone updated since i am currently finishing the website for Atlantic Warfare and we are planning some exciting ways to make the naval sim community involved with us as we build the game, more info will become available once we are setup.

Regards Hans

Hans,

What are the system requirements for your game? I'm in need of a new PC and meine Frau said I could get one because she's sick of me complaining about my old one. Want to make sure I can run your game.

Merry Christmas to you & yours!

Hi frontkampfer,

The system specs will be cpu 3.4 Ghz, AMD HD 7900 serie or Nvidia equivalent, 4 GB ram, take note that lower system will also be able to play it with some FX disabled like ocean realism setting, explosion fx etc. But even on low setting the game will still look good.

Ideally try to get a video card with 3 or 4 GB of vram since if you want to enjoy higher resolution textures this will help a lot.

In a word if you have a 3 to 4 years old system the game will run just fine.

A merry Christmas to you and your family and go easy on your livers :)

Regards Hans
