Bismarck convention May, 2005

Post by George Roumbos »

Hello all,
A thread started on http://www.bismarck-class.dk/ about organizing a convention in Hamburg this May.
The talk is about travelling to Hamburg on the 26th of May, visit Blohm & Voss and attend the ceremony at the Friedrichruh (Bismarck memorial) on the 27th and 28th, departing on the 29th.
The main idea is to get all of us Bismarck enthusiasts together, to meet in person and have a nice time.
I think that it's a good oportunity for a get together, but it has to be organized in advance as you know, acommodations, visit to Blohm & Voss etc.
The sooner we decide it, the better organisation and the better prices we'll get as far as acommodations is concerned.
The feeling is that all three major websites could make this happen, meaning http://www.kbismarck.com , http://www.hmshood.com and http://www.bismarck-class.dk
John Assmusen, webmaster of http://www.bismarck-class.dk has allready offered to help this convention on it's organizing point.
What do you shipmates feel about the idea? Can we do it?
I am convinced that we can do it

Bismarck reunion in Hamburg

Post by Antonio Bonomi »

Ciao George and all,

I am planning to be there and of course we can have all good time.

I think that everybody having a chance should participate, as we can cover a lot of arguments and share our knowledge and passion for those ships.

We must '' Carpe diem '' so '' take the remaining chances '' to meet those survivors and be togheter.

Hope to meet as many as possible.

Ciao Antonio :D
