Hi guys:

This has already being discussed viewtopic.php?t=522 . I don´t believe either it is true. How would a cat reach the deck of a destroyer? A survivor can climb a rope ladder, but a cat...?

Hi Bgile:

One of the theories is that she was patched while at sea, supporters of the theory of the attack put the fact of the prolonged stay out of port as a prove.

Hi Karl: There was a posibility at the very begining of the war of reaching an agreement for a joint government of the isles, Argentina, UK and the UN. It was proposed by Javier Perez de Cuellar, then Secretary-General of the UN. I think that Argentina was going to accept it, and coming from the UN,...

Teoretically she could also carry Super Etendards, but I am not sure if her catapults could launch such an aircraft fully loaded. The General Belgrano was armed with Sea Cats anti-aircraft launchers besides her guns. I th...

Variable pitch propellers

Does anyone know when variable pitch propellers began to be used in warships, and which one was the first?

I wonder why CNN is crying so loud about 3,000 Us casualties in Iraq in 4 years of conflict? Two factors: -human life is more valuable now. I think that in the old days (even in the first half of the XX century) illness had taken lot of lifes. As Robert said more people died in the flu than in the ...
