Yes, I was struck by the similarity to the Hood - but then I had read that the USN was influenced by the Admiral -class battlecruiser. Apparently they (the USN) had been shown plans of these ships during WW1. The planned follow on to the Derfflinger -class was the Mackensen and then the Ersatz Yorck...

Prinz Eugen 1945
I am planning on building the Tamiya 1/700 Prinz Eugen, and wanted to build the model as of 1945 in the Baltic. Anyone know where I could find information on Prinz Eugen's AA fit in 1945?

Gleason, Yes, you can airbrush it, but yes - you should thin it first. I've been using Polly-S (polly-scale's) Acrylic Airbrush Thinner for this. For MM acrylics, I've found that a 70% paint to 30% thinner ratio seems to work for me, but you should experiment a bit to see what works for you. HTH
