Re: World War I books?

Karl:

I have Jane´s Warships of WWI. I don´t recomend it. It is just a reproduction of the Jane´s of those years, with the limited info then known about the German warships. Having Conway´s 1860-1905, I think that the 1906-1922 volume is a better choice, as the info was compilated after the war.

Re: Awful documentary on Graf Spee

Come on man. The credit card information travels encrypted, the same kind of encryption used in the home bankings pages. So that leaves the Amazon´s servers the only place to steal the info. Those servers having credit card info should be isolated from the servers attending the users. I have been bu...

Re: Awful documentary on Graf Spee

Karl, conspiration theories sells better that serious investigation. In fact this guy got two pieces of shit published, while we are begging that Conway do the same with Campbell´s book. Life is just unfair.

Re: Top 10 Missing Naval Books

I am sorry to hear this. He is one of my favorite naval authors, and certainly one of the greatest of these years, along with Campbell, Friedman, Roberts and others. Let his soul sail the sea of eternity.

By the way, what do you mean with "I'm currently in damage-control mode"?

Re: Top 10 Missing Naval Books

My top five: 1-Armouring systems and protection schemes for dreadnoughts (I think that there is someone here who can write it!) 2-Warships´s boilers and machinery. 3-Naval radar (same as 1). 4-Naval weapons of WWI (extant but unpublished) 5-Naval guns and ammo (there is a Big Gun: Battleship Main Ar...
