Oh, I think Lutzow would have been inferior to a Baltimore, esp. as a US cruiser was outfitted mid-war. Heck - she would have been in trouble against light cruiser shooting 6"/47cal with heavy shells.

I suspect Tennessee would have prevailed over Fuso, even before her modernization - Tennessee was a more modern design, with better armor. After her modernization... I think she'd have handily scuppered any Jap battleship in a one-on-one, excepting Yamato/Musashi.

I'd expect the Arizona to prevail, esp. after her 1930s modernization. No guarantees, of course... but just more likely.
