I am going by memory, but I believe the second edition has more pictures and drawings than the first. I know at the time I received the second edition, I was very happy.

I have both books

The second edition book is 223 pages ISBN 1-55750-302-8. It is 25 cm x 25cm which is the same size as some of his other books. The first one, which I have packed away in a box some where is your normal book size.

According to Koop the 10.5cm magazines are shown on plan 04 item 65 Plan 04 is of Zwischendeck, and Oberes Plattformdeck which is where the item 65 are shown the aft 10.5 magazine is midships in compartment V frame 60. The rectangles are fresh air intakes for the boiler rooms. The circles I am guessing are the various exhaust uptakes from diesel generators galley stoves and such. These run to the top of the funnel ring.

Okay here goes with a guess S.S. Meteor or the S.S. Bay State. When looking at the bridge, my guess is the S.S. Its one of the whaleback boats built for the great lakes. Not sure which one. Google is not helping.

I believe that is the LLS-1 or Land Locked Ship 1 or USS Desert Ship. Not much info on it, and only a few pictures. Pretty neat though.

The Graf Spee would be no more difficult to raise than the USS Maine was. Build a coffer dam around the ship and pump out the water. Having said that, there is no one that would do it in this current global economy. There would have to be some sort of payback before anyone would even touch that sort...

I'll give it a try. The first picture shows a station with round handrails. I believe this is the after HA rangefinder station. The boxes by it are the ready use amo lockers for the 2cm guns.
