I got the book it is abit farfetched but the defeat of the bomber offensive does make it a good read.

True but hoods deck was meant to be strengthened but war broke out and she could not be spared.Now if she had her deck strengthened would the DS battle be different.

What if Hitler understood naval power?
Would we see the Nazis using an aircraft carrier or two a in the Atlantic? Would we see Bismark and Tirpitz armed with triple turrets? Would we see a Decisive battle like midway in the Atlantic.

Would NATO have to go battle-cruiser vs battle-ship to stop them. Do we know that they have good underwater protection?

possible counters to soviet/russian nuclear battlecruisers
What would be able to counter the emergence of the russian missile/battlecruisers. Hunterkiller submarines or would aircraft be able to overwhelm the gattling guns long enough to sink them.

if she did venture north instead of being in Norway as a target for the RAF/USAAF and FAA until wars end. What sort of damage could she do and how would we stop her.

Convoy PQ17 leaves iceland and heads for the soviet union, Now what if Tirpitz under the cover of darkness on a moonless night slips her moorings and heads north, What in the RN and USN arsenal could stop her? The Best British admiral of WW2 is not on that list. One Admiral Andrew Cunningham. Taranto his greatest achievement and with only with ONE carrier, He showed the world that the age of the Battleship was dead. He did his job following orders he did not like EG: attacking the French fleet.
