Re:

I have just bought the New Vanguard/Osprey book by Gordon Williamson titled: German Battleships 1939-45. There, right on the front cover, is a computer rendered 3d picture of Bismarck with red turret tops on all main turrets and also the six secondary turrets! Looking through the book I found this ...

I agree with research expeditions, but I know that other wreck sites around the world havn't been treated respectfully :( There was a big uproar a few years ago when artifacts were removed from the wreck of the passenger liner Titanic. I usually frown when I hear ab...

Re: Unluckiest Warship

I agree with what someone said below, Bismarck and Tirpitz. Come on! How unlucky was it for Bismarck-Last ditch attempt by swordfish and its ends up hitting the weakest (and smallest) area of the ship-rudder? If thats not unlucky I don't know what is! For Tirpitz, well everytime she was ready for ac...

Tirpitz AA Fire

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if Tirpitz's anti-aircraft fire was effective at all. I know that Bismarck failed to shoot down the Swordfish...(s?), but what about her sister? I'm finding little on the subject :stubborn: can anyone help please? :?: ...I thougt against putting this in the Bismarck catego...
