Re: Scharnhorst in 3D
I plan on doing some drawing sets to sell for anyone who is doing a model or waants them for research purposes. I might also have some drawings and renders published in a book on the sisters in the not really near but not really distant future.

Re: Tirpitz deck plans
Kiste translates to crate, so it must be some form of short term stowage locker.

Re: area between anton and bruno on scharnhorst
I am thinking more of something like a whole house fan. Ours is in the highest center point of the house and sucks all the air in the house out while drawing fresh air in through the windows. I would think this would be an ideal spot for fans as not only would it provide fresh air and a breeze, but ...

area between anton and bruno on scharnhorst
Allright the next area I need help with is the area between Anton and Bruno turrets. From a drawing I have: http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s146.jpg I have some of the tems done, but there are three or four things in there that I have no references for. I am hoping someone here might hav...

weird scharnhorst picture mystery
I have a picture mystery for you. http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s422.jpg Some of you might recognize this picture from an ebay auction a while back. Please take note of the upper left picture. I have a much clearer scan of this picture in high resolution that I am not able to post, but...

Alternatively, here is my version, maybe it would be easier to ask for a critique of how I did on it.

scharnhorst prow pics
you will probably see several questions like this one and the one about scuttle dims out of me over the next few weeks as I am starting to wrap up certain things I have been putting off on the 3D model, so please forgive the multiple posts. Does anyone have some close up pics of the prow from above ...

Kriegsmarine scuttle dims
Does anyone have some accurate dimensions for the scuttles (portholes) on Kriegsmarine ships, specifically Scharnhorst? The only ones I have are from Bismarck, anatomy of the ship, and I don't trust them even the tiniest bit.

Re: Bismarck 1/100 initial structure
I saw this about a month ago and my feelings were mixed about it. I thought it well detailed and liked it for the most part. But cardstock has it's limitations. You can see the limitations in the domed rangefinders. They aren't round and detract greatly from an otherwise superb model. Why go to all ...

Re: "Graf Spee" Album
That's weird, in the states, no matter which branch, the lower ranking person salutes first and does not drop his salute until after it has been returned or acknowledged by the superior.

Re: Scharnhorst in 3D
Here is a detail I have been absolutely dreading!!! The nameplate. Amazingly enough there is a font that corresponds to this called gothicg and this piece was about a thousand times easier than I thought it would be while still being amazingly accurate. http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s1...
