Re: Scharnhorst in 3D
Kyler, I am self taught. I have spent the better part of four years learning everything there is to know about SolidWorks. The hardest part was getting good reference material. Thanks for the compliment. Marcelo, I don't know if Atonio will like mine beyond the coolness factor, as it doesn't exactly...

Re: Scharnhorst in 3D
After some discussions with a friend concerning the camo scheme, I have made some revisions.

Re: Scharnhorst drawings for sell
I am working with another publisher and many of these will probably appear, albeit at a much reduced scale, in a Scharnhorst book in the future, but I have no timeframe for that. I also plan to do sets of drawings in other scales as a market arises. If anyone would like to see any particular details...

Re: Scharnhorst in 3D
Some renders of the camo scheme, still missing a few markings. I can't do the blast bags for the guns, not something a solid modeling program can handle. It runs six gigs in memory when completely open. http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s194.jpg http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/...

Scharnhorst drawings for sell
As many of you may know, I have been working on a 3D CAD model of the Scharnhorst in her 1943 configuration. I recently completed the model and as a way to recoup some costs on the project I used the model to create two sets of drawings for her in 1:100 scale as well as some 1:50 details. The first ...

Re: My second scale ship
Those are the 150mm practice loaders. There are a couple good images of them in the Bismarck book by Steve Wiper. They are both different, so don't try to make them both exactly the same.

Re: Scharnhorst plans and drawings
That goes without saying, my question refers more to format, style, that kind of thing. For instance, I plan on doing a detail sheet that will show things like weapons and cranes and such as part of the advanced set. If I m doing a 1:100 scale drawing, I would like to see the details in 1:50th scale...

Re: Scharnhorst plans and drawings
Just to let you know in case you find going through the bundesarchiv to arduous a task, I intend to produce a set of drawings of the Scharnhorst. I think there will probably be a basic set and an advanced set, but it's not nailed down yet. So let me ask you guys this, what do you guys want to see in...

And the fourth. All that is left now is the aft superstructure. http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s175.jpg http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s176.jpg http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s177.jpg http://www.tankwerkz.com/Scharnhorst/images/s178.jpg http://www.tankwerkz.com...
