Re: Falklands! 1939

Had never thought of this. If Argentina could get and keep most of its ships operational, I think she could very well have taken the Falklands. Keeping them, however, would have proved impossible. Re: Strategic bombing during World War II

There is no arguing with KH. In his mind he is completely right and everyone is wrong. No amount of evidence or reasoned argument will get to him. Its sad really. What can you say to someone that equates the RAF or allies in general with the SS? The simple fact is, Germany started the war, and she p...

Re: Strategic bombing during World War II

19kilo: In a dramatic difference from the other forum members that can raise an argument your's are pathetic. You cannot even refer to any and do a refutation, you just stick with peryorative trollistic rethoric. You say the RAF are just the same as the SS. There is no need to argue with a nazie li...

Re: Strategic bombing during World War II

Strategic bombing during World War II

Since february 14th, 1942 it was instructed to the British Bomber Command that their prime mission was to attack inhabited areas in some specific cities and, next day the chief of the General Air Staff made some clarifications to the annex that stipulated the list of this cities, written by Sir Cha...

Re: Pilot Aces of World War II

I'm wondering if a German heavy bomber could have hit Soviet factories in the Urals? Not sure. It seems to me that the He177 was a very promising design. Shame they stuck with those horrible coupled engines...........and stressing it for dive bombing was a ..........mistake.

Re: Pilot Aces of World War II

I would also give the Germans the "potentialy" best U-boats in the type21 and 23. Only potentialy cause they never really had a chance to prove themselves.

Re: Pilot Aces of World War II

allied field artillary (American) was better than the Germans. The US had a better combat rifle than the Germans for most of the war. Allied radar was better. EVERYONE wanted a jeep. The Germans didnt come up with a little thing called the atomic bomb. Really......this kind of discussion is pointles...

Re: Musashi to be refloated?

Would it br right to say the Japanese themselves made this decisive battle (as they forsaw it) impossible by knocking out the US battlefleet at Pearl?
