Today I visited the grave of Captain Hans Langsdorff, the German cemetery in the city of Buenos Aires. His grave is simple, a wooden cross date of birth, date of death, rank, and mentioned he was the commander of the Graf Spee Panzerschiff Adm. I suppose that the tomb should be guarded by the German...

About the Bodies

Do you know what happened with the sailor´s bodies that have remained inside the ship after the sinking?

Could Ballard find any bones? Is it possible?

How many years can the rest be inside the ship ?

Can the depth, the temperature, the pressure, the salt, affect preservation ?

OK. I agree with you. But, in James Cameron´s film about Bismarck (he shows the wreck) that I watched some years ago, I remember that they filmed and showed us the brigde of command where they (Lutjens and Lindemann) were staying during the last battle had a shell impact (big gunnery) from Rodney or...

I wanted to know if there are any reports about how and when did adm. Lutjens and Cap. Lindenmann died ? Who take the command after them ?
Is there any survivors who tell what happens with them ?
