Re: Kaiserliche Marine sailors quarters
Marcelo, I too have believed the KLM crews especially for battleships, batttlecruisers & larger cruisers stayed in barracks when in a home port with rotated detachments being on board. KLM ships we're not spacious when it came to crew accommodations. I think you would need to get some original G...

Re: W. Hadeler: Kriegschiffsbau
Happy for you on your purchase! There are so many books in German that I wish we're translated to English. Even some WWII books about the German armed forces in French I would very much like to have. Sadly, I'm afraid my two semesters of German would not be enough to do it.

Bill, I want to state publicly what I have said privately that you have my total support as moderator and that you have shown tremendous restraint in dealing with the constant attacks. I hope the 'time out' to the individual involved will bring some self introspection but I have my doubts. Please co...

The aft magazines were emptied, not forward as part of the salvage operation. The forward magazines detonated and broke the hull in half with the main deck collapsing. Turret 1 was left as it was, the guns of Turret 2 removed & Turrets 3 & 4 with machinery removed completely. Estimates of at...
