main battery angles and dimensions

Hi all

I am about to start the turrets. I'm looking for the angle of the front and rear plates as well as the other dimensions.

Anyone has some exact data?

Tia!

Re: About the Bodies

Yes, and no shells (calcite or aragonite) of mollusks etc in the deep sea. :-)

Re: About the Bodies

Hi,

bones (apatite) will be dissolved in the sea water, basically similar to calcite below the CCD (calcite compensation depth). Normally around 3500 to 5000m depth.

Bye,

Bernd.

That kit hasn´t been released yet – probably it won´t be released ever.

Re: Bismarck construction flaws

Hi,

AP ammunition has a time delayed fuse. The bow is too slender for this delay. Bye!

Re: Evidence of scuttling?

Posting it with full credits should fall under FAIR USE ...

I am reconstructing the hull openings of Bismarck including the sea valves and many other types. So I would be interesed in seeing the original still!

Bye!

Re: Bismarck's "Anton" / front turret.

Hi,

Anton never received a range finder - thus it was never removed. Also note the the 15cm-battery still waited for their rangefinders to be fitted in March 41 (see fotos from March 41).

Happy modeling,

Bernd.

Have a close look at this foto:

You see nothing ... right! Rangefinders still not fitted at St.B.II and B.B.II!

Hi José,

the styrene parts were study models for the final parts, e.g. artillery command post here in the gallery.

Thanks for your work and running this forum! :-)
