Re: A ship history : Admiral Hipper
What are the colors for the January 1941 "Leaving Brest" and July 1942 "Operation Rosselsprung" camouflage schemes? I'm interested in finding the White Ensign Colorcoat equivalents.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Goodbye Iowa and Wisconsin
A certain Congressman named Pombo from California eveidently has succeeded in passing a bill that orders the Secretary of the Navy to turn over battleship Iowa to the city of Stockton, California to become a museum. The Government Accounting Office released a report in November stating the Navy had...

Re: History's last true Naval Gunnery battle.
It's an interesting little skirmish. However, I don't know how it qualifies as the last pure gunnery battle. There is a book focusing on this battle. Re: Kirishima
Sounds like the lower hull shrunk more than the upper hull. You'd need to cut the lower hull down the center, then fill in the gap with something, like resin. Or, you could just build it as a waterline version. On my copy of Kirishima, the width of the upper and lower hulls match, but the lower hull...

And, of course, the location where USS Missouri is berthed at Pearl today is just where USS Oklahoma, outboard, and USS Maryland, inboard, were berthed on December 7, 1941. The Mighty Mo's hull is right over the spot where Oklahoma capsized. When you stand on the Missouri's deck, looking out over t...
